What you will learn

  • Identify and compare different types of blockchain architectures (public, private, hybrid and consortium) and their uses in business contexts.
  • Explain how consensus mechanisms work, including PBFT, DPoS and DAG, and evaluate their suitability for different business environments.
  • Interpret the foundations of “Zero Trust” architectures with blockchain, explaining how the technology contributes to programmable security, granular segmentation and auditable records.
  • Recognise the main cyber threats in blockchain environments, including Sybil, 51%, replay and eclipse attacks, and describe strategies for their mitigation.
  • Identify two consensus mechanisms used in blockchain (e.g. PBFT, DPoS, DAG) and explain their advantages in business environments.

Description

This course is intended for anyone interested in exploring the potential of blockchain in data protection and fraud prevention. Ideal for professionals, students, entrepreneurs and technology enthusiasts, the course offers a deep understanding of blockchain fundamentals, its practical applications and how to implement it to improve the security of business information. Participants will learn about cryptography, decentralisation, tools and blockchain platforms for the business sector, as well as analyse success cases and explore future trends.

Assessment and certification

At the end of each module, in order to assess your progress, you will take a test with a mandatory knowledge check, which will account for 50% of the final grade.

At the end of the course, you will take a Final Assessment Test, which will account for 50% of the final grade.
