PhD in Biomedical Sciences from the University of Porto. Between the years of 2002 and 2013, she was uninterruptedly linked to scientific research in the field of genetics, having received several awards in international conferences. Along with scientific development, she has also developed her teaching and communication skills, being a certified trainer and facilitator in Innovation (FORTH methodology) specially in the field of Health. Previously to her position at the University of Porto, she worked as a consultant for the management of international projects and submission of H2020 and other funding schemes’ proposals. For the past years, she has worked in innovation as a tech transfer officer and as the manager of several entrepreneurship programs. She has also managed programs in policy improvement through the sharing of good practices between European countries, she was the project manager for EIT Health’s Hub at the University of Porto and now manages several other projects in the fields of Digital Health, as well as being an invited lecturer in Digital Health course at the University.
