Prof. Alexandra Aragão has a Ph.D. in Legal and Political Science and is a Professor at the Faculty of Law of the University of Coimbra (UC), where she teaches environmental law, ecoliteracy, risk governance, food security law and forest law. She is the vice-director for the "Planning law, urban law, and environmental law journal". She is a member of several observatories, research groups, and academic organizations in Portugal, Brazil, and Europe. She coordinates an interdisciplinary network on Territorial Justice and Sustainability through spatial data infrastructures (JUST-Side, 10 countries). In 2019, she won the pedagogic innovation prize of the UC.
